I was running 28-30 creatures, 38 lands, and 10 ramp pieces, including mana rocks etc. My goal was to put a bunch of creatures in the battlefield, play Doran, and make a huge toughness swing in my opponents. When I started brewing the deck, I was focused on treefolk tribal, just like you. Well, I am brewing one treefolk deck also and I would really like to share my experience with you. I've been able to pull it down to 100 cards, but apparently 31 land (with 15 ramp cards) is "far too few", so not sure what to replace to get the land. The build has been updated with some suggestions. I'm also not sure if the synergies and win conditions I have set up are good enough. My deck currently sits at 110 and the time of this post. Right now I'm having a hard time cutting cards. The win conditions I am aiming for are to either a) reduce their lives to 0 with lots of large creatures or b) buff up my commander and give him flying/landwalk and win via commander damage in 1-2 swings. Should that fail I have two planeswalkers, as well as other cards, that can reanimate multiple and single creatures. That coupled with cards like "Bosk Banneret" & "Leaf-Crowned Elder", should help me to pump out creatures more quickly.Īlong that note, there are a few creatures as well that allow me to reanimate other creatures, search for creatures, and create copies of themselves, to help make sure I keep heavy hitters on the field. Certain creatures also allow me to search for land under special circumstances. To accomplish this I have several "search for land" cards, as well as 4 mana dorks. The way I envision this deck playing is using mana ramp to pump out large creatures, equip/enchant them with +0/+x | Flying | Vigilance | etc, while destroying permanents that are a threat, and reanimating fallen treefolk. With that in mind, I've seen a good bit of artifacts + mill/exile happening. They even allow you to play with most banned cards. Local Meta: I just started going to a new LGS because I moved away from my old one. I have a good amount of the cards in the decklist already, so we do have some headroom and I am willing to just upgrade things a little bit at a time. (Note): I am a returning player, but I don't have much experience and am not great at building decks.īudget: Preferably $150 or less. This is more of a buy it one piece at a time sort of thing, so budget isn't a big deal. Lets just think of them as the caretakers for the trees LMAO. I'm working on as pure of a treefolk tribal deck as I can get (creature wise).
